President:

Tammy Bishop

Tammy Bishop currently works at Resource Management Service, LLC as a business analyst/project manager.  She has an extensive background in working on project teams performing business process analysis and business system analysis, resulting in increased efficiency across domains.  She also has a background in financials and human resources support with a concentration on supply chain management.  She has Associates in Business degree, as well as a Bachelor’s in Business degree from Faulkner University.  She became CBAP certified in 2008, CBPP certified in 2009, and has served as the VP of Membership and VP of Professional Development on the IIBA Birmingham Chapter Board.  She actively supports The Foundry and the United Way of Central Alabama.
 
She is from Birmingham, Alabama.  She is married with two children, three step-children, and seven grand and step-grandchildren all together.  She enjoys writing, playing music, spending time with her family, and church activities.

Vice President, Professional Development:

Suzanna Rawlins

Suzanna Rawlins is a Director of IT Services with CGI and has over 23 years of experience in Information Technology, primarily in the Telecommunications field. She has worked as a Business Analyst for most of her career and as a result has developed diverse expertise in a variety of the methodologies/processes/approaches within the business analysis field. She has been a member of the IIBA since 2008 and is the founder and first president of this Birmingham Chapter. She has served on the committee to revise and review the BABok and was also part of the committee that developed the Competency Model. In addition, she is also certified Project Manager (PMP) and Business Process Professional (CBPP). She has been a speaker for this chapter several times and is thoroughly enjoying serving as the VP of Professional Development.
 
Suzanna has a BA from Auburn University, completing a double major Political Science/Philosophy, with minors in English, history and business. She earned her MSM in Information Systems from Georgia Tech in 1993. She is originally from Atlanta, Georgia, but has called Birmingham home for the last 20 years. When not at work, you can find her in the library downtown researching and teaching genealogy, and working with fellow Board member Amy Hall in an organization called Life Leadership where they help share informational and educational products that empower people to develop themselves financially, professionally and personally. She and her husband Jody are the parents of a teenage son and 11 fur kids (9 cats and 2 dogs). She enjoys reading, cross stitching and photography and travelling with her husband.

Vice President, Marketing:

Kimberly Thomas

Kimberly Thomas is an Account Manager, specializing in Healthcare Applications, for TEKsystems, the nation’s leading and largest IT staffing and services firm.  She has lived in Birmingham, and has been working for TEKsystems since November of 2014.  She has been in the staffing industry for just over 2 years, with experience ranging multiple industries across multiple states.  She has been a member of IIBA Birmingham since 2015, and elected to the VP of Marketing position for 2016.
Kimberly graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi in August of 2013 with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Human Resource Management.  She is a proud alumna of Phi Mu Fraternity, and the “high kicking Dixie Darlings”.  She and her husband have 2 adorable fur babies, Barrett (Boxer) and Reagan (American Bulldog).  When she is not at work, you can find her singing and dancing to whatever is on the radio, watching most prime time TV shows, and hanging out with her family.

Vice President, Membership:

Ted Gaston


 
Ted Gaston works as an IT Business Analyst for Southern Company at the Alabama Power Headquarters in downtown Birmingham.  He earned the CBAP certification in 2016 and is also PMP certified.  In addition to the BA role, Ted has worked in numerous job roles over his career including Software Developer, Database Administrator, System Analyst and System Integrator.  Ted enjoys outdoor activities and spending time with his wife and six-year-old son.  Ted is an active member of the Power Speakers Toastmasters club at Alabama Power and is one step away from achieving the DTM (Distinguished Toastmaster) designation.

Treasurer:

Mickey Ferreiro

 

Mickey Ferreiro is a Senior Consultant at CTS. He is responsible for performing requirements analysis, project management, and business consulting for several clients in a variety of industries. He has seventeen years of experience in software development project work, including extensive experience in system requirements and business requirements analysis, requirements interviewing, data modeling, process modeling, and requirements documentation. He has been a member of the IIBA since 2007, has held the CBAP certification since 2010, and has served on the board of the IIBA Birmingham Chapter since 2011.
 
Mickey has a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from Florida International University and an MBA from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He and his wife have an eleven-year-old son. Outside of work, Mickey enjoys an array of nerdy gaming activities such as video games, board games, table top role-playing games, and Star Wars miniatures.

Secretary:

Amy Hall

Amy graduated Summa Cum Laude from Troy State University. She received her BS with a double major in CIS and Mathematics. Graduation has been followed by a 20+ year career in Information Technology.  She started her career as a developer performing many duties of what we now know as Business Analysis activities. She has experience in the telecom, banking, and natural resources/mining sectors. Her current position offers occasional international travel to work with business users in South America. She was an original member of the Birmingham Chapter of IIBA and received her CBAP in 2013. She has been a presenter at several chapter meetings on topics such as Use Cases, the Agile panel, and Business Rules.
    
Amy and her husband, Matt, are proud parents of 3 teenagers. Amy currently serves as Secretary of the Birmingham IIBA Chapter, serves on the John Carroll Catholic High School Booster Board as the representative for the girls varsity soccer team, and has recently started building teams with Life Leadership, an organization focused on helping others live “The Life You’ve Always Wanted”. Life Leadership offers informational and educational products and services in the areas of financial development, professional development and personal development. Her evenings and most weekends are spent traveling and cheering at her teen's soccer events.
