April 2023 - Forever Wild, Land Conservation in Alabama
Join us as we welcome Jo Lewis for our monthly chapter series. Jo will explain to us how the Forever Wild organization goes about identifying land parcels and proposing conservation protection by the state.
Jo Lewis is the Natural Heritage Section Chief for the Forever Wild Land Trust, an Alabama state program whose land acquisitions are managed by the State Lands Division of the Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources. Jo's life-long passion for nature and biodiversity led her to join the Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources in 1997.
