Join us as we welcome our guest, Tiffany Giekes, a Product Owner at McLeod Software in Birmingham, AL. In the session, we will discuss how the Business Analyst plays a pivotal role within the SCRUM team. Tiffany will explain how the BA helps deliver on the product vision for the Product Owner, and how the skills acquired to become a BA can assist in various career developments.

About the Presenter
Tiffany Giekes has been working in the transportation industry since 2011, and she joined Tom McLeod Software in 2020. When she initially joined McLeod, she already held a Certification of Business Analysis, which enabled her to work as a Business Analyst (BA) in the Enterprise Customer Services (ECS) division.

As a BA, Tiffany's responsibilities included analyzing business processes and requirements within the transportation industry. She utilized the unique software modules, and best business practices to find effective solutions and improvements to deliver value to the client.

In her current role as a Product Owner (PO), Tiffany leverages her business analysis background to understand the needs and requirements of stakeholders; including business owners, customers' product end-users, and her product development team. She uses her expertise to translate requirements into actionable items and product enhancements. By combining her business analysis skills with her industry knowledge, Tiffany ensures that software product aligns with industry needs and provides value to its users.
