October 2022 - Feedback, Inspiration and Positive Reinforcement
Feedback, Inspiration and Positive Reinforcement
Join us for our monthly chapter meeting as we welcome David Mantica, Vice President and General Manager for SoftEd.
Fueled by his passion for developing empowered knowledge workers through training and coaching, he helps companies develop
their teams with the critical skills to stay effective.
Everyone on the Agile team must be treated as an adult; that means empowering them to make
decisions and giving them the opportunity to provide feedback and input on how things get done. Every
adult is human. Humans get demotivated. Humans have bad days. Humans lose track of their purpose.
Humans get uninspired. The reality is, if we left becoming and staying motivated to the individual
employee and offer nothing, we would be left with a disaster. We (humans) need to be inspired, given
positive direction and reinforcement and it isn’t just the manager’s or corporations responsibility. Doing
this and doing it right is the difference between being good and being GREAT!
This session will cover:
- Retrospective fundamentals
- Giving Feedback 101, good and bad
- Giving a good review, some critical elements
- How to say Thank you
- Techniques to celebrate
- Everyone wants to be inspired, a basic how to
