October 2023 - From the Bright to the Dark: Unraveling the Journey and Impact of Artificial Intelligence in Cybersecurity
Join us as we welcome our guest, Smit Kotadiya. Smit is a Cyber Security consultant at Crowdstrike. He has over 7 years of experience in the field of cybersecurity, and his expertise lies in Threat Intelligence, Endpoint, Cloud, and Mobile.
Abstract
Artificial intelligence (AI) has become an integral part of our lives, and its use in cybersecurity is no exception. AI is being used by both cybercriminals and cyber security companies to improve their capabilities.
Cybercriminals are using AI to develop more sophisticated attacks that are more difficult to detect and defend against. For example, AI can be used to create fake emails that are more likely to fool users, or to develop malware that can evade traditional security measures.
We will discuss some futuristic malware which can be used by cybercriminals
Cyber security companies are also using AI to improve their defenses. For example, AI can be used to identify patterns in data that may indicate an attack, or to develop new security tools that can better protect systems from attack.
I will share some example of how AI is leveraged within our organization to combat the stealthiest of cyber attacks
I believe that AI is a critical tool for protecting our systems and data from cyber threats. I am excited to share my knowledge and experience with AI in cybersecurity with your members.
