Meet the 2022 Candidates

Amy Hall
I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Troy University. I received my BS with a double major in CIS and Mathematics. I have worked in IT 25+ years. I started my career as a developer performing many duties of what we now know as Business Analysis activities. I have experience in the telecom, banking, and natural resources/mining sectors. I was a founding member of the Birmingham Chapter of IIBA in 2008. I received my CBAP in 2013 and in 2021 and 2022 received my IIBA-CPOA and IIBA-CBDA certifications respectively. I have served as the chapter president and previously as secretary. I have been a presenter at several chapter meetings on topics such as Use Cases, the Agile panel, and Business Rules and I have facilitated a CBAP study session. I have been co-chair coordinating each of the IIBA Birmingham Chapter Development Day conferences for the past 4 years.

My focus has been to grow awareness of our chapter in the local business community. We have been invited twice to present to an upper classman course at the University of Samford and we continue to foster relationships between local universities and the IIBA global academic program. I hope to continue to build awareness of our networking opportunities, training offerings and specialized certifications among our Birmingham and greater Alabama business analysis community.

Mickey Ferreiro
I have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and a Master’s degree in Business Administration. I have extensive experience in business analysis and requirements for software development. I worked 8 years for AT&T and CSC as a business/system analyst. I have worked 12 years for CGI doing business analysis consulting.

I have been a member of the chapter almost since the beginning of the chapter, and I have held the CBAP certification since December 2016. I have been the Treasurer for the chapter since 2016. I have also been the VP of Membership and the acting President. During my term as Treasurer, I developed a more formal process for tracking the chapter’s finances and producing monthly treasurer reports. I also established a Budget Committee, which developed the chapter’s first formal budget. I have continued to improve on those processes, including tracking assets and a separate log for annual transactions, which helps with year-end tax preparation. These processes are an important part of the Treasurer responsibilities now, and are working well.  I would like to continue improving these processes in my next term.
