Beginning as a Programmer Trainee to my current senior IT position, I've worked in various industries including Financial Services (insurance and banking) and Telephony for both international and domestic companies spanning a career of over 30 years as an FTE and contractor. I've seen the evolution of mainframe processing to distributed systems technologies. My own career has morphed over the years and I've worked as a COBOL programmer, systems analyst, and technical team lead in the mainframe space. I then transitioned from the mainframe world into ETL and data warehousing as a data mapper and business analyst. Along the way I was introduced to the Agile methodology and after learning about the servant-leader role of Scrum Master I fell in love with every aspect of the role and has since earned multiple certifications. I've also worked as an scrum Product Owner and have certifications in that role as well. In my current position of Sr Scrum Master, I work with IT and non-IT teams in the enterprise as an Agile coach, mentor to SMs and POs, on-boarding new team members, creating Agile and Scrum educational materials and teaching classes, etc.
