In this session, we will help you begin to understand data science projects and how they take raw data and turn it into remarkable insights. We will cover how companies who have invested in data warehouses can take the first steps toward working in the world of data science with minimal expense.

Presented by Criss Wilson, Data Scientist, McLeod Sofware
Criss is a Data Analyst and domain expert in transportation procurement & management systems for McLeod Software's Data Science Team. He holds a BSBA degree from The Ohio State University where he majored in Logistics, Finance, and Operations Management. Criss recently retired from a brokerage company where he was the Vice President of Development and has 38 years' experience in transportation & logistics industries. Early in his career Criss had the opportunity to collaborate and lead a project team tasked with deveoping a 3rd generation multi modal TMS project. He developed a deep understanding of data governance, visual storytelling, Pivot Tables and SQL cubes as a result of this experience and is happy to be re-inventing his career as a data science profession.
